Applying for a role in our Kitchen Team should be as fun as the job itself. The recruitment process does change slightly dependent on the role that you are applying for.
Head Chef / Kitchen Manager
If you are looking to join us as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager then your application will be sent directly to us lovely folks in the Resourcing Team. We respond to all applications because we want you to be kept in the loop. If you’re application is successful you’ll be asked to come to an interview, meet our team and find out if the job is right for you and you’re right for us.
For this key role there will be a second stage which will consist of an “OJE” (on the job evaluation) which is a short session in a live kitchen environment with one of our Development Chefs.
Other Chef roles
The recruitment of other Kitchen Team members will be received and handled by the Management Team at the pub itself. They will let you know if you have been successful in reaching interview stage. If so, shortly after they will give you a call to arrange this.
Usually this will be with the General Manager and/or the Head Chef and be held in the pub. You shouldn’t have to prepare anything. Just ensure you bring along your right to work documentation (eg passport, national insurance number) And, of course your winning smile. We know interviews can be quite daunting but don’t worry – our managers don’t bite.
If you’re successful after interview you’ll be offered a position with us. We’ll then ask for references, ask you to complete all relevant paperwork and discuss a date for your induction and first shift.
